When we talk about the postcolonial studies that time Foucoultian idea of power and knowledge is always at the centre. One who is in power will always got authority to poteray who is in not power or whom they consider 'others'. This idea is also given by the Edward Said in his book Orintalism. In which he say further gives the idea of the Orient and Occident.
If we want to look at the example of it, Danial Defoe's Robinson Crouse is one of the best example of it. We see that in that Novel Friday is native. And when we look at description about him that time we see that he is show me the person who don't have any culture. We also see that he he is represented as the person who accepts the Robinson as his master. He doesn't find any problem when Crouse gave him name of Friday the day he met Crouse. He doesn't even have language that represent that he don't have any culture because language is connected with the culture.
So we see that natives are always represented as the person who don't have culture who don't have language who are not civilized. And white people always things that it is white man's burden to civilize 'others'.
