To his Coy Mistress present the familiar theme in the Literature, a term coined by the ancient Roman poet Quintus Horatius. Here is gist of Andrew Marvell's poem.

The poem is declaration of love for a young lady by young man. But lady is playfully hesitant, artificially demure. Young man want a physical relationship with lady but she refused to this. So, on the poem he try to prepare her for this. His language is very artful. He admire her. Actually not her only but there love also. He say that he loves her before ten years of the flood.

By doing this he try to make ready her for taking there relationship one stape for further. And thisisthe main theme of the play.
