Short story : The mother

The Mother is short story written by Somerset Maugham. The story mother was quite different story. It talk's about the passionate love of mother named La Cachirra. Her passionate love leads her to kill the lover of his son.

We see that in the story kills Rosalia. Because she was lover of her son. She don't want that apart from her anyone come near to her son.

When we read the phychological deformity in her character we see that she spent her seven years in the prison. This isolated life leads her to this stage. She was in condision where she need a emotional support. And currito her son was her only support. But because of her possive nature he started to hate her.

She did two murder for currito and even doesn't feel guilty. We see that her passionate love ruined not only her life but also of currito. Her passionate love has snatched everything from her life.

Poem : The old woman.

The poem Old Woman was written by Joseph John Campbell. He was an American my Mythologist, writer and lecturer. He was known for his work in comparative mythology and comparative religion. In this poem poet say about the old woman. He say that her old face express about all her life's journey. This poem have three stanza and each stanza has four line. The poem is a gem of simplicity. Poet has very finely praised the beauty of an old woman. It is very easy to see beauty in young woman but it need understanding and imagination to see the beauty of the old age.
