Arundhati Roy.

Arundhati Roy is Indian author, actress, and politics activist who is best known for her Novel God of small things. She was also known for her involment in environmental and and human rights cases. Early in her career she worked for Movie and television. She wrote the screenplays for In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones (1989), a movie based on her experiences as a student of architecture, in which she also appeared as a performer, and Electric Moon (1992). She also won national award for screenplay in 1998



Her first Novel is God of small things. It is story of twin. There life is distroyed by love laws. The story of the Novel is set in town 9f of Kerala. The narrative of the story take place in past. For same Novel she won booker prize. The novel introgate culture of india including social and Colonialism history. It also talk about class and cast system. 

The other novel by Arundhati Roy is The Ministry of Utmost Happiness. The protagonist of the Novel is not a man not even woman. The name of protagonist is Anjum . Through this charachar Roy talked about the cultural, political and Religious history of India. There are so many references of contemporary Indian political Things.

When we read about this Novel we see that in both the Novle she is very critical about the India. She writes brutal reality of time. Her novel talk about the contemporary time and thing happing in India. In her novel she talked about history, politics and Religion.
