  History of English Literature.  Before knowing the history of English Literature we should know first what is literature. In a simple word literature is a mirror of society. But if you want to know the perfect definition then ; literature is writing which expresses and communicates thoughts, feelings and attitude towards life.  The  word literature comes from the Latin word ‘ litaritura ’ meaning “writing organized with letters”. We can classify different literature with the language, origin, historical period, genre, and subject matter.   If we talk about the history of English literature we should know that it's divided into Seven parts. ઉપરનું ટાઈટલ વાચી ને બધાના મનમાં જે પેલું ચિત્ર આવ્યું એ  વોટ્સ એપ આઇકોન હશે. અથવાતો પેલો શબ્દ આવ્યો હશે એ પણ વોટ્સ એપ જ હશે. આમ જોવા જઇએ તો વોટ્સ એપ આવ્યા પછી આપણો બધા સાથેનો કોન્ટેક્ટ એકદમ સરળ થઈ ગયો છે. અને એ ઘણું ફાદાકારક પણ સાબિત થયું છે. જ્યારે આપણે કોઈ એવી જગ્યાએ હોઈએ કે વાત ન કરી શકીએ ત્યારે મેસેજ કરીને  સામેની વ્યક્તિને જાણ કરી શકીએ. આ તો  થઈ વોટ્સ એપના જરૂરી કામ માટે ઉપયોગની વાત. પરંતુ વોટ્સ એપ હવે આપણી માટે માત્ર જરૂરિયાત નથી રહી પરંતુ અનિવાર્યતા બની ગયું છે. એક પણ એવો દિવસ નહિ હોય જ્યારે આપણે એનો ઉપયોગ નહીં કરતા હોઈએ.  નાની એવી બાબતો પણ આપણે લોકો સુધી વોટ્સએપથી પોચડતા હોઈએ છીએ. આમુક વખત અજાણતાં અને અમુક વખત જાણી જોઈને. વાત માત્ર જ્યાં સુધી લોકો સુધી આપણે જે પોચડવું છે એ પોચડવાની હોય ત્યાં સુધી કોઈ પ્રશ્ન નથી.  પરંતુ પ્રશ્નો ત્યારે ઉભા થાય છે જ્યારે આપણે જવાબ ની  ઝંખના રાખીએ. એ ઈચ્છા જવાબ મેળવવાની પૂરી થાય ત્યાં સુધી કોઈ વાંધો નથી. પરંતુ  જ્યારે એ ના મળે ત્યારે તકલીફ થાય છે. મોકલેલા મેસેજ માં બ્લૂ ટિક થાય ને ત્યારથી આપણું મન જવાબના વિ...

કોઈ પળ યાદ ને સાચવની સૌથી સરળ રીત એટલે એને કેદ કરી લો. આપણે આપણી મોટા ભાગની યાદોને કેમેરા માં કેદ કરી લઈએ એટલે એ હંમેશને માટે આપણી પાસે રહે. ક્યારેક મને વિચાર આવે કે જ્યારે કેમેરાઓ નહિ  હોય ત્યારે લોકો પોતાની સુંદર યાદો ને કઈ રીતે સાચવતા હશે ? હાલતો આપડી બધા પાસે ફોન માં કેમેરો છે ; એટલે આપડે જ્યારે એવું લાગે કે આ ક્ષણ હંમેશા માટે યાદ રાખવી છે એટલે આપડે તરત જ મોબાઇલ માં ફોટો પાડી લઈએ. પણ પેલા આવું નોતું. આપડા મમ્મી- પપ્પા અને દાદા - દાદી ના સમયમાં એ લોકો સ્ટુડિયોમાં જઈ ને ફોટો પડાવતાં. ત્યારથી લઈને અત્યાર સુધીમાં કેટલું પરિવર્તન છે ફોટોમાં. ફોટાએ પણ આપણી જેમ બ્લેક એન્ડ વ્હાઇટ થી સેલ્ફી સુધી ની સફર કરી છે. સફર ખાલી કેમેરા એ જ નહિ પણ એને સાચવી રાખવાની રીતે પણ કરી છે. આપડે આલ્બમ તો છે પણ વર્ચ્યુઅલ. આપડા ફોન માં કેટલા ફોટા છે એની સંખ્યા આપણને કદાચ યાદ પણ નહિ હોય.  ઉપર થી દરેક ફોટો પાડવાનું એક કારણ કઈ રીતે યાદ રહે કોઈને.  કેટલા લોકો ના ફોટો પડ્યા હશે આપણી ગેલેરીમાં.  આ તો થઈ ફોટો જે પડ્યા છે આપણી ગેલેરીમાં એની વાત. પણ એવા કેટકેટલા ફોટો હશે જે આપણે ડિલીટ કરી નાખ્યા ...

Payar hua ikrar hua hai Pyar sai fir kyu darta hai Kahta hai dil rasta mushkil Malum nahi kaha hai manzil. આ ગીત મે ઍટલે નથી લખ્યું કે મને પ્રેમ થયો છે. સાચે કવ તો મને પ્રેમ થય જ ના શકે. પણ આજ આ ગીત સભડ્યું એટલે અમુક વિચાર આવ્યા એટલે લખ્યું. આમતો આ સોંગ જ એક ટ્રેડ માર્ક છે. જ્યારે કોઈ પણ આ સોંગ સાંભળે એટલે જો એને પ્રેમ થયો હોય તો એના પ્રેમી કે પ્રેમિકા ની યાદ આવી જ જાય. પણ હું જ્યારે પણ આ સોંગ સાંભળું ત્યારે મને સવાલ થાય કે શું પ્રેમ કરવો અને પછી એનો એકરાર કરવો સરળ હોતો હશે ?  અને જો ખબર જ છે કે આ બધી વસ્તુઓ ખુબ અઘરી છે તો લોકો આમાં ફસાતા કેમ હસે ? પછી આગળ સોંગ માં એવું કે છે, કે જો પ્રિય પાત્રો નો સાથ છૂટી જશે તો ચાંદ નહિ ચમકે. એવું થોડી હોય કોઈ એક વ્યક્તિ ના આપડા જીવન માંથી જતા રેહવાથી કઈ આટલો બધો ફરક  થોડી પડતો હશે. મારા મતે જોવા જાવ તો આ બધી એક આદત ની વાત છે. તમને કોઈ ના હસવાની, કોઈના બોલવાની, કોઈની ચિંતા કરવાની આદત પડી ગઈ હોય અને અમુક કિસ્સામાં કોઈના ઝગાડવાની પણ આદત પડી જતી હોય છે. બસ આટલું જ હોય. સમય ની સાથે આપડે આપના રૂટીન માં ગોઢવાત જઈએ અને બધું ભૂલ...

Hello Readers, I am Jeel Vyas. I am studying in Department of English in Bhavnagar University.  I am student of Literature. From studying Literature in formal form I came to know how to read things in proper way. But it was not the introduction with Literature.  I was introduce with literature in very simple way of telling a story. My mother used to tell me story. The story is of cow who only speak truth. By telling this story my mother always say that if you tell truth you always have benefit and also people respect you and good thing come to you.  This was not only a introduction but also Literature start shaping me. What is Reading? Reading is a process of looking at a serious of a written symbol and getting meaning from them. When we look at this definition we see that reading is something which allows us to have meaning from the symbols. Now when we are leaving in 21st  century we see that we don’t olny get meaning from written words but also we get meaning from the pictures, GIF, and also from other moving picture.
